American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Charlotte follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I'm not from Charlotte. Ordered some custom gluten free sugar cookies for a bachelorette in the city. I sent some inspirational, or rather aspirational photos, because I thought they might be a reach. Wow, did they deliver! The cookies turned out so beautiful. It was the perfect goodie bag gift for this event. I also ordered the gluten free/dairy free chocolate chip cookies and they were absolutely delicious. Don't miss those. They're a must order.

I have lived in many states and have tried many gluten free bakeries and a good gluten free baker/bakery is really hard to find, I've been disappointed more than impressed, even though highly rated bakeries. This bakery has been impressive, best gluten free bread maker I've tried in all of the states I've tried. Understand the long lines and it's worth the wait. Hoping service will increase so we can quick faster access.

I’m not gluten free but my dad is. He came up to celebrate his 70th birthday with us and his grandson. I usually avoid gluten free anything because everything tastes so gritty and crumbles apart. We ordered a cake and it’s incredible! You can’t even tell it doesn’t have gluten in it. The frosting is amazing too. It’s one of the best cakes I’ve ever had. We also got some take and bake chocolate chip cookies and, again, don’t even taste gluten free. Delicious cookies and so conveniently packaged. Can’t wait to bring my dad when they’re open on Saturday to try even more things!

I finally ordered from here for the first time about a month ago and I haven’t stopped eating it since. The sourdough bread is unreal!!! I make it as a peanut butter sourdough toast and I’m obsessed! I get sad whenever I get low. It’s legitimately the best gluten free thing I’ve EVER had (and I’ve tried a LOT). So far everything I’ve had is amazing but my favorite (besides the sourdough) has been the chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream. My bf got me a cake from here for my birthday and I was distraught when I finished it. I might have to get myself a random cake a couple times a year 😅 As a bit of advice, order it the week you get it because you have to put in the order and it’s usually a couple weeks out. I promise you will love the food and I understand it’s not cheap but you can tell he uses the best quality ingredients. The owner is also very nice! I highly recommend this place!!!

We had a short visit to NC (Concord/Charlotte area). My husband changed to a gluten-free diet about a year ago. He found this place with his gluten-free research of places to eat, The Accidental Baker. We were in line at 836a, there was a line down the sidewalk and we grabbed the last 2 cinnamon rolls. I am not gluten-free and the baked goods are spectacular. The owner is very personable and friendly. 🥯 bagels 🥐 cornetti 🫓 cheese Danish 🍪 chocolate chip cookies 🥯 cheddar, chive, Jalapeño biscuit 🥐 cinnamon rolls
